Today, the Education Commission released the first set of research papers that helped to inform the Learning Generation report. The Commission worked with 30 institutional research partners across Europe, North America, Africa, Latin America and the Middle East to build a diverse set of evidence and recommendations for the Commissioners to consider. The Commission’s resource database will come to include more than 60 papers. Papers will be featured in thematic campaigns over the coming weeks and months in which we will work with partners to disseminate key Commission messages and recommendations. A number of the papers provide new and innovative research and evidence on the case for education and how we can make faster progress.
The Commission’s research papers provided a rich evidence base and helped identify key challenges and opportunities across the four transformations featured in the report (system performance, innovation, inclusion and finance). They brought forward evidence from diverse regions and fields – from the health, technology and finance communities, among others – to consider how best to end an education crisis and achieve the Learning Generation.
